BIGELOW & MANICCIA: 6 PLAYS, 60 MINUTES!
May 15th and 16th, Readers Theatre Repertory closes its 14th season at Blackfish Gallery with SHE SAID, HE SAID: LOVE & LIFE, WITHOUT A NET. The show features Christy Bigelow and Jason Maniccia in 6 plays, staged in 60 minutes. Wendy Wilcox and Mary McDonald-Lewis direct.
“We found a wonderful collection of short plays, and wanted to showcase the stories and characters in a fresh way,” says Wilcox. “Challenging two actors to play six characters each seemed like the way to do it,” adds McDonald-Lewis with a smile. “Especially because we just have to rock directing the shows…” Wilcox adds, “And they have to pull it off!”
The plays are Reinventing the Wheel by Megan Lohne, Numbers by Greg Kreutz, Lack of Moisture by Debbie Lamedman, Customer Service by Phillip Hall, Fair Shake by Jeffrey Gold, and Absent Grace by Claudia Barnett. “This will be a real high wire act,” says Wilcox. “In the hands of these awesome actors, the evening will soar.”
Christy Bigelow and Jason Maniccia star in all six shows.
