(Jan 16-17 2015)
Edwin, by John Mortimer, was a hit on stage and a smash on television in Britain, starring the likes of Emlyn Williams on the boards and Sir Alec Guinness on TV. January 16-17 returns it to the stage with Mary McDonald-Lewis directing, for a production titled “The Prodigal Son Problem.”
In Edwin, Sir Fennimore and Lady Margaret Truscott and their longtime friend and neighbor confront the return of the Truscott son Edwin. His absence has been keenly felt – but his presence makes an even bigger impact on the three. “This intimate three-hander is just so classically Brit,” McDonald-Lewis says. “Dry and with a twist. It’s the perfect martini of plays.”
The cast includes Mary McDonald-Lewis, Brian Harcourt, and Douglas Mitchell.
