Spend Valentine’s Day With Tony Kushner, Eric Bogosian and John Pielmeier!

Does celebrating Valentine’s Day with Tony Kushner, Eric Bogosian and John Pielmeier sound like a hot date night? Either way, you won’t want to miss Love’s Fire, Reader’s Theatre Repertory’s latest offering of two irreverent, bittersweet one-acts by two of America’s most celebrated playwrights. Bitter Sauce by Eric Bogosian and Terminating, or Lass Meine Schmerzen Nicht Verloren Sein, or Ambivalence by Tony Kushner  and Pillow Talk by John Pielmeier come from Love’s Fire, a group of original works commissioned by The Acting Company and Guthrie Theatre. Each play is based on a William Shakespeare Sonnet: Kushner’s on #75, Bogosian’s on #118. Whether Valentine’s Day is something you celebrate or just suffer through, these one acts offer something for everyone: a skeptical but never entirely cynical approach to the age-old subjects of romance and its bitter after taste.

Love’s Fire is directed by Christy Drogosch; the talented cast includes Kara Hayes, Murren Kennedy, Marc Weaver, Melissa Whitney.
