The Game of Love

On February 13th, 14th, and 15th 2004, Readers Theatre Repertory honored St. Valentine with The Art of Dating by Jeffery Scott Elwell, and At Land’s End by Marcus L. Steinour.

Co-directors Matthew Martin and Jamie Miller turned to a tune from rock legend Queen for their inspiration: “It’s so easy when you know the rules/It’s so easy/all you have to do is fall in love.”

“Is it really just that easy?” asked Martin. Added Miller, “And if so, what are the rules that make it so?” With these two tales, one about the beginning of love and the other about its end, RTR took a witty, touching look at the “game of love.”

The cast featured Siobahn Caverly, George Fosgate, Lannie Hurst, Matthew Martin and Eric Newsome.
