Jack the Ripper Stalks the Streets Of the Pearl District

On October 10th and 11th, 2003, Readers Theatre Repertory sent goosebumps up the spines of the audience with its West Coast premiere of Whitechapel, by fellow Oregonian Steve Patterson.

“This Jack the Ripper tale is part ghost story and part mystery,” said director Mary McDonald-Lewis. “It’s set in modern day London in the neighborhood where he slaughtered prostitutes… and where he was never found. That’s why the story continues to be so compelling–and so damn scary”

Appearing in October was Don Burns, Jacque Drew, Sam A. Mowry, Tom Nabhan, Rebecca Nachison, and Chrisse Roccaro.
