Gifts in Strange Wrappings

On December 12th and 13th, Readers Theatre Repertory rang in December with typically discordant harmony: Why the Lord Came to Sand Mountain, by Romulus Linney, and The Appointment, by Luigi Gannuzzi.

“I can’t bring myself to serve up treacle pudding at Christmas,” said director Mary McDonald-Lewis. “Instead, I found two wonderful stories full of irony, truth, and grief. Both offer unrecognizable gifts, and both have characters whose lives are changed forever because of them.”

The cast featured Peter Armetta, Judith Ford, Wade McCollum, Mary McDonald-Lewis, David Meyers, Randy Patterson, Ryan Scarcella, and Deanna Wells.
